Friends of Shoreham bushland gathering

Were you aware we have a working group of volunteers who maintain our road reserves and community spaces around Shoreham? . The council undertakes a major clean up of road reserves every five years so you can imagine how overgrown and uncontrolled that can become. Over the years we have focused on such weeds as the dreaded agapanthus, onion weed, pittosporums, polygala, blackberries, ivy, forget-me-nots as well as other invasive species. The Mornington Peninsula Shire has engaged the Natural Systems Unit to support our efforts, supplying tools and equipment as well as education about our local indigenous and endemic flora. This is a terrific way to learn more about keeping Shoreham beautiful as well as meeting the locals and making friendships. We are starting up some local area groups near you so for more information please contact us at

shorehamcommunity@gmail.com

All you need to bring is yourself , a water bottle, protective clothing ( weather depending ) sensible shoes and sunblock . The rest is provided .

Our group meets every 4th Saturday of the month from 9:30am -12md

Check our EVENTS calendar for each month specific location.
