Bushland plants and habitat session a big success!

Kate Skvor sharing her knowledge with the group

Several sessions have been arranged by the SCA this year at the Skvor’s Native Nursery on 39-45 Blake Street. The next one is on ….

Saturday 12th April 2025 SEEDS @ 14:30. This workshop will focus on sorting, categorising and recognising Sof Indigenous and endemic plants.

( Please note a gold coin donation to Kate appreciated to cover costs of Afternoon Tea)

These sessions are quickly booked out as “Kate Skvor” walks and talks us through Indigenous plants in the area, how First Nations people used them and how to distinguish between tiny Indigenous plants and similar-looking weeds. Seeing what’s been happening to revegetate the Buxton Reserve is another highlight.

Due to popular demand, there’s plans for future sessions so If you are interested please email as soon as possible to book and reserve a place and we will update you here.
